All too often OEM components sacrifice performance in an effort to appeal to a wide variety of customers. While an enthusiast typically wants better boost response and more power, all while hearing the turbocharger breathe, a non-enthusiast may give up these characteristics for a quieter ride. Give your 3.0T Audi B9 S4 or S5 the performance it deserves and engage with your car for a more enjoyable driving experience!
In the case of the factory turbo inlet pipe, mounted between the compressor housing and air intake hose, its purpose is to channel air from the inlet hose into the turbocharger inlet, all while reducing engine bay acoustics and sacrificing quality materials in favor of cheap molded plastic material. With the ECS Big Bore Turbo Inlet Pipe, the factory inlet pipe is removed and replaced with our straight-through, high flow cast aluminum inlet. This increases available airflow and turbocharger sound by creating a larger, smoother transition between the turbo inlet hose and compressor housing inlet. To top things off, the flange and bungs are TIG welded, machined billet aluminum to ensure longevity, strength, and dimensional accuracy.
Key features:
Cast aluminum construction
55mm ID at the turbo inlet to maximize air flow (compared to stock 52.2mm) with an 11% increase in area
66mm ID at the intake elbow
Retains factory PCV return and wire loom anchors
Machined billet flange and bungs for a precision fit and durability
Oil resistant o-ring and stainless hardware included
Performance:
Increased bore diameter for increased flow and reduced restriction to the turbo
At -20 in Hg test pressure, the stock inlet has a flow rate of 327 CFM vs the ECS inlet which has a flow rate of 382 CFM, a 16.8% increase in flow rate over the stock plastic inlet!

We update our catalog daily to provide the most accurate fitment information possible. When shopping for parts, please use the “select your vehicle” car selector on the home page. Once you've selected your car, you can filter parts specific to it.
Additionally, on each product page, we have a tab for fitment information. By clicking on "Fitment", you can scroll and verify the part you are about to add to your cart indeed fits.
Furthermore, if you have a vehicle added to our vehicle selector and you are viewing a product page, you'll see fitment information below the "add to cart" button. If an item fits your car it will display "This Part Fits Your: Selected Vehicule". If an item does not fit your vehicle a message will display "This Part Does Not Fit".
A “Core Charge” is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda. In many states, to promote recycling, you are charged a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and you receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have Core Charges that work the same way as a soda can deposit. The most common car parts that include a core charge are alternators, calipers, steering racks, and fuel injectors.
"MAP" pricing, or Minimum Advertised Pricing, means that the vendor set a minimum retail price that we're not allowed to violate. MAP items cannot be discounted because the decrease in price would violate that threshold.
