MK7/8V Silicone Coolant Hose Re-route Kit - ES#3638683

$52.84

The factory expansion tank coolant hose that runs over top of the intake air scoop can be quite a let down when installing an aftermarket intake system. Leaving an out of place and unsecured hose on top of your brand new cold air intake simply ruins the look underneath the hood!

Introducing our ECS Tuning Silicone Coolant Hose Reroute Kit. Designed and engineered in house to take the less obtrusive hose routing and direct coolant underneath your intake system for more pleasing underhood-aesthetics. This coolant hose connects the upper radiator hose bypass fitting to the expansion tank metal return line.

Made from heavy duty, 3-ply silicone it can handle more than the stock rubber hose! Designed to handle 250° Fahrenheit continuously and tested up to 44.1psi for long lasting, dependable operation. Our hose includes an integral check valve that others may leave out in their design. This check valve replicates the OE check valve in terms of operation so only the necessary amount of coolant is recycled into the coolant expansion tank.

Our reroute kit also includes QTY 2 T304 stainless steel smooth-band hose clamps to replace the OE constant tensions clamps.

INSTALLATION TIPS:

  • Some coolant will be lost during the transfer of stock to our ECS hose, but if you work quickly you can minimize fluid loss.
  • Start by removing the top hose (engine side) and install our ECS hose.
  • Move on to the radiator hose connection (body side) and quickly swap hoses in this order:
    • Have 1 or 2 rags handy to catch and absorb any lost coolant
    • Remove the hose and quickly cover with your thumb
    • Install the ECS hose and clean the engine bay
    • Tighten both hose clamps

**NOTE** Fitment may vary for other brand air intake systems. Please reference our installed photos for a general overview of hose routing.

  • How do I know if a part will fit my car?

We update our catalog daily to provide the most accurate fitment information possible. When shopping for parts, please use the “select your vehicle” car selector on the home page. Once you've selected your car, you can filter parts specific to it.

Additionally, on each product page, we have a tab for fitment information. By clicking on "Fitment", you can scroll and verify the part you are about to add to your cart indeed fits.

Furthermore, if you have a vehicle added to our vehicle selector and you are viewing a product page, you'll see fitment information below the "add to cart" button. If an item fits your car it will display "This Part Fits Your: Selected Vehicule". If an item does not fit your vehicle a message will display "This Part Does Not Fit".

  • What is a core charge?

A “Core Charge” is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda. In many states, to promote recycling, you are charged a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and you receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have Core Charges that work the same way as a soda can deposit. The most common car parts that include a core charge are alternators, calipers, steering racks, and fuel injectors.

  • What is MAP pricing? Why can't I get a discount on a MAP item?

"MAP" pricing, or Minimum Advertised Pricing, means that the vendor set a minimum retail price that we're not allowed to violate. MAP items cannot be discounted because the decrease in price would violate that threshold.
