MK7 Master Cylinder Brace - ES#4391063

Master cylinder braces are a common upgrade to reduce brake booster / master cylinder deflection under sudden, hard braking conditions. This deflection occurs due to the thin firewall material that the brake booster bolts to actually flexing under sudden, hard braking. Our ECS Tuning Master Cylinder Brace was designed and engineered in-house to reduce this deflection which improves brake pedal response while adding confidence in your brake's hydraulic system. Our design requires no permanent modifications to the body. We do require trimming of the battery tray for proper fitment, however, the brace can be removed without adverse affects to fitment.

PART DESIGN

  • Designed and engineered in-house using state of the art 3D laser scanning and CAD technology for precision fitment

  • Manufactured from 10 ga. cold rolled steel for superior structural strength in the limited space around the master cylinder and battery tray

  • Powdercoated in a tough wrinkle black finish for corrosion protection

  • Utilizes the closest chassis mounting points under the battery tray

  • Sandwiches between the battery tray and battery tray mount. This will lift the battery tray roughly 3.5mm without adverse affects.

KIT CONTENTS

  • Master Cylinder Brace, adjustment screw, jam nut and swivel foot

PERFORMANCE FEATURES

  • Immediate pedal response can be felt thanks to the reduction in master cylinder / brake booster movement. This translates to improved pedal feedback and easier modulation due to the predicative behavior in the hydraulic system. We measured 65% reduction in master cylinder deflection on initial brake pedal travel.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

  • Our ECS MK7 Master Cylinder Brace was designed, engineered, tested and quality inspected by our Research and Development team in our Wadsworth, Ohio facility. We strive for the highest level of precision and quality through leading-edge product development technology including FARO laser scanning for reverse engineering and quality inspection, SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling, rapid prototyping utilizing our in-house 3D printer, and rigorous long term product testing

  • How do I know if a part will fit my car?

We update our catalog daily to provide the most accurate fitment information possible. When shopping for parts, please use the “select your vehicle” car selector on the home page. Once you've selected your car, you can filter parts specific to it.

Additionally, on each product page, we have a tab for fitment information. By clicking on "Fitment", you can scroll and verify the part you are about to add to your cart indeed fits.

Furthermore, if you have a vehicle added to our vehicle selector and you are viewing a product page, you'll see fitment information below the "add to cart" button. If an item fits your car it will display "This Part Fits Your: Selected Vehicule". If an item does not fit your vehicle a message will display "This Part Does Not Fit".

  • What is a core charge?

A “Core Charge” is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda. In many states, to promote recycling, you are charged a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and you receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have Core Charges that work the same way as a soda can deposit. The most common car parts that include a core charge are alternators, calipers, steering racks, and fuel injectors.

  • What is MAP pricing? Why can't I get a discount on a MAP item?

"MAP" pricing, or Minimum Advertised Pricing, means that the vendor set a minimum retail price that we're not allowed to violate. MAP items cannot be discounted because the decrease in price would violate that threshold.
