Founded in 1976, Ohlins Suspension evolved into one of the most sought-after suspension brands in both the motorcycle and automotive markets, provides some of the best suspension packages offered. Many OE suppliers such as BMW Motorsport, Audi, Lamborghini. Pagani, Ducati and Kawasaki have built strong relationships with öhlins and trust them to deliver premium products that offer long lasting performance. Using numerous years of R&D, track testing, road testing and fine tuning, Ohlins has come up with the DFV Road and Track Coilover Kit.

What separates this coilover kit from others in the market at roughly the same price? The answer is their state of the art DFV (Dual Flow Valve) technology that makes traction and grip paramount. The dual flow valve gives the same characteristics on rebound as it does on compression which allows the wheel and tire to quickly and effectively resume their position on the road. The dual flow system gives you coilovers that are both comfortable and agile. At lower speeds and with minor road imperfections, the DFV coilovers retain an OE suspension feel. At higher speeds and when encountering rougher terrain, the dual flow valve allows for a more fine-tuned control which keeps you in control of the vehicle and always ensures the tires are planted firmly.

How do the Dual Flow Valves work? The simple answer is by allowing higher amounts of fluid to pass through the valve in the case of a sudden impact, making it easier for the shock to absorb and transfer energy quicker. The long answer involves 2 steps, compression and rebound.

  • Compression: At low shaft speeds, oil flows mostly through the shaft jet bleed. At higher shaft speeds, oil flows mostly through the compression ports in the piston. At very high shaft speeds, or during sudden shaft accelerations, oil can also escape through the compression ports in the DFV, increasing comfort.
  • Rebound: At low shaft speeds, oil flows mostly through the shaft jet bleed.  At higher shaft speeds, oil flows mostly through the rebound ports in the piston. At very high shaft speeds, or during sudden shaft accelerations, oil can also escape through the rebound ports in the DFV, maintaining tire contact with the road.

These work together to perfectly balance the amount of dampening needed to keep the car fimly planted, but still comfortable and with less bounce.

Another major factor in picking the perfect coilover system is finding one that is built to adequately manage temperature increases in the shock oil. When the temperature increases, dampening is decreased and causes the suspension's effectiveness to fade, changing the vehicle's handling characteristics to change. To combat this, Ohlins utilizes a unique needle bleed valve system which expands as the temperature increases, closing the gap that the fluid travels through, maintaining a consistent dampening rate that leaves the suspension feeling the same lap after lap.

    Warehouse Transfer We receive the item, then we ship it to remain on time with the guaranteed delivery range chosen at checkout. It typically takes between 6 and 12 business days before it ships.

    Discontinued - No longer available This product has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available.

  • How do I know if a part will fit my car?

    We update our catalog daily to provide the most accurate fitment information possible. When shopping for parts, please use the “select your vehicle” car selector on the home page. Once you've selected your car, you can filter parts specific to it.

    Additionally, on each product page, we have a tab for fitment information. By clicking on "Fitment", you can scroll and verify the part you are about to add to your cart indeed fits.

    Furthermore, if you have a vehicle added to our vehicle selector and you are viewing a product page, you'll see fitment information below the "add to cart" button. If an item fits your car it will display "This Part Fits Your: Selected Vehicule". If an item does not fit your vehicle a message will display "This Part Does Not Fit".

  • What is a core charge?

  • What is MAP pricing? Why can't I get a discount on a MAP item?

    "MAP" pricing, or Minimum Advertised Pricing, means that the vendor set a minimum retail price that we're not allowed to violate. MAP items cannot be discounted because the decrease in price would violate that threshold.
