E46 323/328 Luft-Technik Intake System - Black Filter - ES#4873486

$344.99

Upgrade your E46 driving experience by adding induction noises and increased air flow. Let your engine breath by removing the suffocating enclosed intake box and get ready to hear sounds you never thought your naturally aspirated inline 6 could make. Whoever said you need forced induction to make addicting suction noises clearly has not tried this system.

With the factory intake you are limited to a finite amount of air, this leaves your engine under-served and limits induction noise. When it comes to the recipe for upgrading your E46 there are a few ingredients that you must have; aesthetics, power and sound. Start with the power and sound right in front of you in the engine bay with our M52TU intake. A free flowing intake that boasts a roaring induction noise capable of outperforming your factory intake for a noticeable bump in sound and performance.

The factory intake box is also referred to as a muffler/silencer specifically designed to lower the induction noise for a refined driving experience, this helped exponentially when selling the cars out of the show room circa early 2000's. We as enthusiasts are no longer interested in subdued intake noise and limited air-flow; we want pure induction noise, we want to hear the air surging into the engine as we push down on the go fast pedal. Our ECS Intake was designed with the enthusiast in mind to enhance your driving experience and get you excited to drive your car time and time again. A simple yet effective design composed of a silicone inlet tube, powder coated MAF flange and seamless integration with the OE fresh air scoop that also leverages stock mounting locations.

Can be found in the "Chasing Down Track Times at Pitt Race!" episode on our YouTube channel - https://youtu.be/PqYw2mg_jA4

Key benefits:

  • Flows on average 71 CFM more than the stock intake system, a ~27% increase in intake efficiency

Design:

  • Durable, lightweight 6061 and 5052 aluminum intake tube and bracket design, finished in wrinkle black powder coat
  • Mounts to locations on chassis utilizing Stainless Steel M6 hardware
  • MAF mounts to intake using aluminum brackets sealed to intake system with OEM fitment
  • Maximizes available engine bay space to fit oiled ECS cotton gauze 7” filter

  • How do I know if a part will fit my car?

We update our catalog daily to provide the most accurate fitment information possible. When shopping for parts, please use the “select your vehicle” car selector on the home page. Once you've selected your car, you can filter parts specific to it.

Additionally, on each product page, we have a tab for fitment information. By clicking on "Fitment", you can scroll and verify the part you are about to add to your cart indeed fits.

Furthermore, if you have a vehicle added to our vehicle selector and you are viewing a product page, you'll see fitment information below the "add to cart" button. If an item fits your car it will display "This Part Fits Your: Selected Vehicule". If an item does not fit your vehicle a message will display "This Part Does Not Fit".

  • What is a core charge?

A “Core Charge” is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda. In many states, to promote recycling, you are charged a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and you receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have Core Charges that work the same way as a soda can deposit. The most common car parts that include a core charge are alternators, calipers, steering racks, and fuel injectors.

  • What is MAP pricing? Why can't I get a discount on a MAP item?

"MAP" pricing, or Minimum Advertised Pricing, means that the vendor set a minimum retail price that we're not allowed to violate. MAP items cannot be discounted because the decrease in price would violate that threshold.
