This free option is included with a Stage 1 Tune purchase and is for owners who have installed an IE Performance Intake Manifold (Sold Separately). IE Stage 1 Intake Manifold software fine-tunes the ECU calibration to match the manifold plenum and runner flow characteristics along with special tuning for the removed runner flaps. Even though tuning now matches higher flow characteristics of the intake manifold, performance numbers are still limited by the factory downpipe. Because of this, Stage 1 IM combination is only recommended for users who are planning on Stage 2 IM in the future, are trying to get rid of constantly failing runner flaps or cracking plastic manifolds, and building for improved engine bay looks.
Included with all Stage 2 & K04 Tune purchases, This manifold calibration is designed for customers looking to maximize the performance of the turbocharger with an IE 2.0T Performance Intake Manifold (Sold Separately). Like Stage 1 IM tune, this software fine-tunes the ECU calibration to match the manifold plenum and runner flow characteristics along with special tuning for the removed runner flaps. Results with a manifold deliver power gains across the powerband, fully realizing the 2.0T TSI K03 or K04 power potential.

*This ECU calibration is for second generation 2.0T TSI (timing chain driven) EA888 Gen1 & Gen2 direct injection engines. Many VW & Audi models are equipped with early year 2.0T FSI (timing belt driven) EA113 engine and is a separate tune. Not sure? Don't worry, your new IE flash tool will automatically detect your engine and apply the correct tune for your engine.
**This ECU calibration is for 2.0T TSI EA888 Gen 1 & 2 engines only. Many Jetta and GLI models are equipped with a new engine variation (EA888 Gen 3) after 2013.5 and later. This tune does NOT support Gen 3 model engine ECUs. Please verify if your engine is an EA888 Gen 1/2 2.0T TSI or EA888 Gen 3 2.0T TSI tune before ordering.
REST OF WORLD (ROW) SUPPORT
IE tunes are designed and written on North American (NA) vehicles. Although IE does offer ROW purchases of software files, some ECUs available only in certain countries or markets may not be supported in our current file library. If you have access to read your ECU code, please contact us to verify compatibility before purchase.
INCREASED RPM
IE 2.0T TSI Tunes continue to make power beyond the factory rev limiter, to take advantage of the larger power band, the rev limits have been raised. All tunes include a new RPM range of 7000RPM. On DSG equipped cars, our DSG Tune is required to unlock these higher RPM ranges. DSG Calibration will shift slightly before these rev limiters.

A “Core Charge” is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda. "MAP" pricing, or Minimum Advertised Pricing, means that the vendor set a minimum retail price that we're not allowed to violate. MAP items cannot be discounted because the decrease in price would violate that threshold.
