The ECS Tuning Luft-Technik (Air Technology) Induction System is a premium in-house designed engine aspiration product for your VW MK7 Golf/GTI/Golf R/Alltrack or Audi 8v A3/S3 1.8T/2.0T Gen3 that not only delivers remarkable power gains, but also blends automotive engineering into an artistic canvas of underhood beauty. Our system is constructed of premium materials and utilizes the most advanced development methods available to date. Our system is engineered to follow the OEM flow path, keeping installation simple with basic hand tools and includes all new installation hardware.

  • Designed and engineered in-house using state of the art 3D laser scanning and CAD technology for precision fitment

  • HEAT SHIELD & INLET SCOOP - The massive aluminum dual air inlet duct and aluminum heat shield assembly are designed to feed massive amounts of outside air to the air filter element and to shield against radiant engine bay heat so lots of cool, ambient air is drawn in! The dual air inlet duct takes advantage of the MK7/8v's dual-opening grille assembly and channels air from both sides of the engine bay for maximum available airflow. The main heat shield assembly is perfectly designed to seal the EPDM foam rubber edge trim against the hood liner pad to further stave off engine bay heat and to maintain repeatable power delivery. 

  • INTAKE TUBE - Mandrel bent 6061 aluminum 80mm (3.15") Wrinkle Black Powdercoated Aluminum Induction Tube provides smooth, direct airflow into the turbo inlet hose. Includes a CNC bent, TIG welded support bracket and OE-location vacuum nipple for the intake manifold runner flap solenoid for perfect fitment and functionality.

  • COOLANT RE-ROUTE HOSE - Designed to take the less obtrusive hose routing underneath your intake system for a more pleasing underhood-look. Our silicone coolant hose connects the upper radiator hose bypass fitting to the expansion tank metal return line and is secured underneath the main heat shield with a mounting clip. Made from heavy duty, 3-ply silicone and rated to handle 250° Fahrenheit continuously. Our hose also includes an integral check valve that others may leave out in their design. This check valve replicates the OE check valve in terms of operation so only the necessary amount of coolant is recycled into the coolant expansion tank. 


    • Silicone Inlet Hose - Made from 5-ply fiberglass reinforced silicone to prevent collapsing under high boost conditions. Features a smooth transition from the intake tube to the turbo inlet elbow for the least-amount of turbulent airflow. Designed to handle high engine bay temperatures and is resistant to oil / chemical degradation for long term durability. Includes stainless steel, smooth band "German Style" hose clamps. 

    • Carbon Fiber / Kevlar Tubes - The carbon fiber / carbon Kevlar pipe is constructed from 2x2 twill carbon weave then gloss clear coated for UV and heat protection for continuous operating temperatures of up to 300° F. Designed to fit perfectly in place of the factory accordion pipe, our CAD design assures a smooth gradual transition from the intake to the turbo inlet.

  • AIR FILTER - 3 1/8" conical, cotton gauze, clean-able filter element. Features smooth bell mouth inlet and a conical shape that maximizes filtration surface area. An 8-ply cotton gauze construction provides the best balance between airflow and filtration efficiency.  

  • SECONDARY AIR INJECTION (optional) - Our system is fully compatible with the OEM SAI emissions system. The included cotton gauze SAI breather filter provides a fresh air source to the SAI pump using our custom CNC-machined 6061 aluminum SAI adapter to the OEM SAI hose.

  • Maximum Gains: +6.0 Wheel Horsepower @ 5,300 RPM and +6.0 Ft/lbs of Wheel Torque @ 5,200 RPM 
  • Peak Gains: +5.0 Wheel Horsepower @ 5,300 RPM and +1.0 Ft/lbs Wheel Torque @ 2,700 RPM 
  • Largest peak HP and Torque gains are between 4,500 and 6,800 RPM for consistent mid to top-range boost in power!
  • Turbocharger efficiency is also improved by reducing restriction ahead of the compressor, resulting in less boost pressure needed to produce more power. At 6,000 RPM the ECS Luft-Technik Intake made +6.0 WHP over the stock intake system with 1.8psi lower boost pressure. 

Flow bench tested on our in-house Superflow SF-750 Flowbench we observed a + 98.0 CFM / +27% gain over the stock intake system

We strive for the highest level of precision and quality through leading-edge product development technology including FARO laser scanning for reverse engineering and quality inspection, SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling, rapid prototyping utilizing our in-house 3D printer, and rigorous long term product testing.

  • Performance data metrics are collected utilizing our in-house Mustang AWD 500 SE in ground dyno and in-house Superflow SF-750 Flowbench.
