MQB Pre-Assembled Rear Trailing Arms - With ECS Monoball Bushings - ES#4365482

It’s no secret that Volkswagen's suffer from weak, failure prone rubber trailing arm bushings. The stock rubber bushings are designed to allow significant movement of the rear wheels and to absorb road impacts. This compliant design maximizes daily driving comfort and helps add to the “luxury” feeling of your VW, but it also contributes to the numb, disconnected feeling that many enthusiasts complain about with modern cars. Not only is the OEM design far from ideal for the street or racing enthusiast that is looking for optimal handling and braking performance, the constant twisting and deflection required of the rubber bushing often causes premature failure, resulting in degraded handling, wheel shimmy, delayed turn-in response, delayed braking response, unwanted alignment change, and poor tire wear.  For the rest of us who enjoy seeing what our car is made of, these types of bushing simply won’t cut it.

Introducing the new ECS Tuning Rear Trailing Arm Monoball Bushings!  The ECS Engineering team set out to design a solution that offers a far superior bushing when compared to OEM, requiring no modification and offering nearly instantaneous cornering, accelerating and decelerating response for the absolute best road feel and driving experience possible. Our monoball bushings utilize a sealed OEM Mercedes-Benz ball joint for exceptional quality and durability.  The bearing assembly is precision CNC machined from 6061-T6 anodized aluminum and features a knurled OD to ensure a perfect press fit and the longest lasting component life possible.

By utilizing a sealed ball joint, ECS achieved the ultimate in terms of low friction no bind suspension travel with no unwanted deflection, providing exceptional cornering response, and prompt acceleration and deceleration feedback; all while maintaining exceptional comfort and durability levels making these an excellent no compromise upgrade even for a street car.  These trailing arm monoball bushings are a must have for any track car, but are also completely street-able and are a great upgrade for any enthusiast that enjoys spirited driving.

Pre-assembled in-house by the experts at ECS Tuning, we take the legwork out from pressing the bushings yourself while using high quality aftermarket rear trailing arms.

We update our catalog daily to provide the most accurate fitment information possible. When shopping for parts, please use the “select your vehicle” car selector on the home page. Once you've selected your car, you can filter parts specific to it.

Additionally, on each product page, we have a tab for fitment information. By clicking on "Fitment", you can scroll and verify the part you are about to add to your cart indeed fits.

  • What is a core charge?

A “Core Charge” is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda. In many states, to promote recycling, you are charged a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and you receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have Core Charges that work the same way as a soda can deposit. The most common car parts that include a core charge are alternators, calipers, steering racks, and fuel injectors.

  • What is MAP pricing? Why can't I get a discount on a MAP item?

"MAP" pricing, or Minimum Advertised Pricing, means that the vendor set a minimum retail price that we're not allowed to violate. MAP items cannot be discounted because the decrease in price would violate that threshold.
