Why Carbon Cleaning Matters
Direct Injection Technology
Gasoline direct-injection technology, known as FSI, TSI, or TFSI by Audi and Volkswagen, significantly improves power and efficiency in internal combustion engines. It allows for increased horsepower and torque across the powerband while maintaining lower emissions.
Carbon Deposits & Buildup
Despite the benefits of direct-injection, there’s a downside: carbon buildup. Early 2.0T FSI, 4.2L FSI, and 5.2L FSI engines are prone to deposits in intake ports and on intake valves.
