Castrol React SRF Racing Brake Fluid - 1 Liter - 467286

$93.50

Castrol SRF is the ultimate racing brake fluid. Its unique silicon ester technology absorbs less water than conventional glycol ether fluids and prevents the fluid's high-temperature performance from deteriorating. It's high boiling point, ability to withstand extreme temperatures and superior resistance to the effects of absorbed water have established Castrol SRF Brake Fluid as the world's premier fluid for the hydraulic brakes used in all forms of motorsport and racing.

Castrol React SRF Racing is a high performance brake fluid of special value in competitive motor sport where extreme braking conditions are encountered. It is an exclusive Castrol product registered under patents in many countries.

Castrol React SRF Racing meets US Federal Standards FMVSS 116 DOT 3 and DOT 4, ISO 4925 Class 4, JASO JIS K2233 Class 4 and current SAE J1703 specifications.

Application
Castrol React SRF Racing has an exceptionally high dry boiling point, typically 325°C, making it ideal for use under arduous braking conditions such as racing or rallying. Castrol React SRF Racing has a very high vapor lock point (the more important measure of high temperature performance under actual braking conditions), and has the additional advantage of sustaining high vapor lock point characteristics during its service life. In order to achieve the optimum benefits in such applications, advanced materials have been employed in a unique and patented Castrol formulation. The properties of this formulation are such that in order to derive maximum benefit the use of Castrol React SRF Racing should be restricted to not more than eighteen months before draining and refilling.

Advantages
Castrol React SRF Racing is suitable for all disc and drum brake systems with the exception of those for which mineral oil is prescribed. It is miscible with all conventional fluids meeting US Federal Standards FMVSS 116 DOT 3 and DOT 4, ISO 4925 and current SAE J1703. However, mixing with conventional brake fluids will merely reduce the higher quality of Castrol React SRF Racing and therefore recommended that conventional brake fluids be drained from the system before flushing and re refilling.

It is recommended that this fluid is changed every 18 months to maintain it's exceptionally high vapor lock performance.

  • How do I know if a part will fit my car?

We update our catalog daily to provide the most accurate fitment information possible. When shopping for parts, please use the “select your vehicle” car selector on the home page. Once you've selected your car, you can filter parts specific to it.

Additionally, on each product page, we have a tab for fitment information. By clicking on "Fitment", you can scroll and verify the part you are about to add to your cart indeed fits.

Furthermore, if you have a vehicle added to our vehicle selector and you are viewing a product page, you'll see fitment information below the "add to cart" button. If an item fits your car it will display "This Part Fits Your: Selected Vehicule". If an item does not fit your vehicle a message will display "This Part Does Not Fit".

  • What is a core charge?

A “Core Charge” is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda. In many states, to promote recycling, you are charged a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and you receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have Core Charges that work the same way as a soda can deposit. The most common car parts that include a core charge are alternators, calipers, steering racks, and fuel injectors.

  • What is MAP pricing? Why can't I get a discount on a MAP item?

"MAP" pricing, or Minimum Advertised Pricing, means that the vendor set a minimum retail price that we're not allowed to violate. MAP items cannot be discounted because the decrease in price would violate that threshold.
