MK6 Jetta 1.4T Silicone Intake Hose Set - ES#3677807

$98.84
$79.07

The corrugated airbox and turbo inlet hoses found in the OEM air intake system were not designed for performance or modifications. They were designed to get the job done, and when adding a performance filter, intake, or tune the stock inlet hoses can start to show their weaknesses when suction from the turbocharger is increased.

The ECS Silicone Intake Hose Set for the VW MK6 Jetta 1.4T was designed in-house with a high-quality 4-ply reinforced construction to provide a strong but flexible structure and secure fit. Smooth bends and internal walls with counter bored outlets provide unimpeded airflow, while the smooth, gloss black exterior adds an appearance upgrade to any engine bay.

PART DESIGN

  • Designed and engineered in-house to replace the flimsy accordion intake hoses

  • Made from heavy-duty, 4-ply fiberglass reinforced silicone, which can handle higher temperatures and greater suction than the stock, corrugated plastic hoses

  • Smooth bends and internal walls to reduce turbulent airflow

  • Counterbore on the turbo inlet hard pipe side and airbox inlet side for the smoothest transition possible

  • Includes smooth-band, German style stainless steel hose clamps

  • Designed to resist oil and fuel degradation and tested up to continuous 250° Fahrenheit operating temperature

KIT CONTENTS

  • Silicone Airbox Inlet Hose with clamps
  • Silicone Turbo Inlet Hose with clamps

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

  • Our ECS Silicone Intake Hose Set was designed, engineered, tested and quality inspected by our Research and Development team in our Wadsworth, Ohio facility. We strive for the highest level of precision and quality through leading-edge product development technology including FARO laser scanning for reverse engineering and quality inspection, SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling, rapid prototyping utilizing our in-house 3D printer, and rigorous long term product testing.

INSTALLATION AND SUPPORT

  • Installation is straightforward and is easily reversible. Simply remove the OEM inlet hoses and pinch clamps and replace with our Silicone Intake Hoses with 7mm gear clamps.

  • Ensure the hoses are installed with the ECS Tuning logo facing "UP" to ensure the counterbore feature is oriented properly.

  • How do I know if a part will fit my car?

We update our catalog daily to provide the most accurate fitment information possible. When shopping for parts, please use the “select your vehicle” car selector on the home page. Once you've selected your car, you can filter parts specific to it.

Additionally, on each product page, we have a tab for fitment information. By clicking on "Fitment", you can scroll and verify the part you are about to add to your cart indeed fits.

Furthermore, if you have a vehicle added to our vehicle selector and you are viewing a product page, you'll see fitment information below the "add to cart" button. If an item fits your car it will display "This Part Fits Your: Selected Vehicule". If an item does not fit your vehicle a message will display "This Part Does Not Fit".

  • What is a core charge?

A “Core Charge” is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda. In many states, to promote recycling, you are charged a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and you receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have Core Charges that work the same way as a soda can deposit. The most common car parts that include a core charge are alternators, calipers, steering racks, and fuel injectors.

  • What is MAP pricing? Why can't I get a discount on a MAP item?

"MAP" pricing, or Minimum Advertised Pricing, means that the vendor set a minimum retail price that we're not allowed to violate. MAP items cannot be discounted because the decrease in price would violate that threshold.
